Summer 2020 - Birthday Parades
With most of our scheduled events curtailed due to restrictions with Covid-19, our members were excited to participate in a few Birthday Parades! It proved to be a great way to stay safe, show off our cars to the delight of onlookers and bring smiles to our "birthday boys".
The celebrations took us to Clay on June 6, Oswego on June 23, Fayetteville on July 30 pictured (thanks to Mom for the video), and Phoenix on August 8, 2020.
Sunday, October 11, 11:00am – 1:00pm, 5th Annual CNY Exotic Car Club’s Brunch & Cruise
Madison County Distillery, 2412 US-20, Cazenovia, NY 13035, USA
The 5th Annual "Exotic Car Club Fall Brunch" (hosted by SCC sponsors and members Howard & Lyndé LaFever), was held on Sunday, October 11th at the Madison County Distillery (2412 Route 20 East in Cazenovia, NY 13035) beginning at 11:00 am (current face mask and social distancing rules enforced). Admission was $25 per person and included brunch, beverages, raffles and lots of FUN, followed by a beautiful Fall foliage cruise led by Howard!! All proceeds to benefit the "Trees For Troops" charity.

Saturday, October 10, 2020 Fall Foliage Cruise
Thank you to Rick Rinefierd for arranging and leading a fun cruise up into the Tug Hill area to view beautiful vistas of the colorful Adirondack Foothills. 22 SCC members in 11 Corvettes criss crossed the countryside - to the delight of onlookers - stopping at the Delta Lake Inn for a great lunch. Thanks to all for a fun day!

Pineview Run: Auto & Country Club

Pineview Run Auto & Country Club (2250 Case Hill Road in LaFayette, NY 13084) is hosting a "Cars for the Cure" charity event for the fight against cancer, on four consecutive Sundays in October. This Sunday, October 4th has been designated "Corvettes For The Cure" from 10:00 am until Noon. Several SCC members came out to help support this noble cause!! This was a fun event and allowed us to drive laps on the exciting Pineview Run track. A nice cruise from this location after this event with luncheon at The Blue Canoe.

Saturday, August 15, Cars & Coffee at Verrillo Motor Car Company, Clifton Park
"Cars & Coffee" event at Verrillo Motor Car Company , a beautiful facility. After the "Cars & Coffee" event, we joined the members of Vettes In Perfection Corvette Club, for a local cruise, followed by Lunch at Lanzi's on the Lake (Great Sacandaga Lake), in Mayfield, NY.

Thursday night, August 6th, 50 Syracuse Corvette Club members (including 2 new members) and one guest, in 29 Corvettes, joined us at Heid's & Sweet Treats in Liverpool, NY, for a FUN evening of hot cars, great food, good music and fabulous friends!! Sunday, July 26th Pasta with a Purpose - On Sunday, July 26th, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, we attended the "Pasta with a Purpose" fundraiser for the Bowering Farm at the Fulton Elks Lodge. This fundraiser was for a longtime local family (and personal friends), who lost their barn and a number of animals to a recent fire. We enjoyed food, raffles, live music and FUN, with seating both indoors and outdoors.

Saturday, July 18⋅3:00 – 9:00pm 5th Annual CNY Exotic Car Club
Our SCC sponsors and members, Howard & Lyndé LaFever, hosted their 5th annual CNY Exotic Car Club "Thank God" Celebration, on Saturday, July 18th at their beautiful home at Howlyn Acres. This was a "facemask" and "socially distanced" event. There was again good food, fun, a bonfire and fireworks. Cost included membership in the Exotic Car Club (2020 season), plus $10 per person for the celebration itself (which also included a Brunch on Sunday, July 19th, at the Brewster Inn (6 Ledyard Avenue in Cazenovia, NY 13035). Proceeds to benefit our veterans at the Syracuse VA Hospital and also the CNYSPCA).
Sunday, July 19th - Brunch at the Brewster Continuation Exotic Car Club
Continuation of Exotic Car Club Celebration on Saturday the 18th was a Brunch on Sunday, July 19th at 10:00 am, at the Brewster Inn (6 Ledyard Avenue in Cazenovia, NY 13035). It was also an opportunity to wish our Hostess, Lyndé LaFever a very Happy Birthday!
Wednesday, July 15 - Cruise Night Y-Hill Express
SCC "Cruise Night", Wednesday, July 15th, at Y-Hill Express (2344 State Route 49 in Blossvale, NY 13308), approximately two miles north of Sylvan Beach, NY. They have all kinds of hot and cold food available, including pizza, wings, subs, deli sandwiches and more, along with hard & soft ice cream, snacks and cold drinks. We brought our chairs and joined in for a fun night together - masked and socially distanced!! Our cruise in together met at the Circle K Convenience Store (6406 State Route 31 at South Bay Road in Cicero, NY 13039) at 4:15 pm, for a 4:30 pm departure via Rt. 31 through Sylvan Beach
Friday, July 10 - SCC FUN “Drive By” Parade
FUN Drive-By Parade, at the Oswego YMCA Summer Camp at Crisafulli Arena (32 Fort Ontario Road in Oswego, NY 13126), at 1:00 pm. Staging at Lowe's Home Improvement Store (445 NY Route 104 in Oswego, NY 13126) at 12:30 pm, with departure of 12:45 pm. For those wishing to cruise together into Oswego, we met near the former Olive Garden Restaurant, just inside the main entrance to Great Northern Mall (4155 State Route 31 in Clay, NY 13041) at 11:30 am, with an 11:45 am departure. After the Drive-By Parade, we headed to Mr. Mike's Seafood Restaurant (711 West Broadway in Fulton, NY 13069).
